#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. On National Unity Day, November 4, the Norilsk Polar drama theater will present a festive intercultural program under the slogan Russia Unites.
More than ten national diasporas of Greater Norilsk take part in the show on the Arts Night: Kazakhs, Azerbaijanis, Russians, Dolgans, Turkmen, Kyrgyz, Chuvash and other nationalities. Each will present a colorful program: folklore performances, costumes, traditional dishes, master classes.
The author of the unusual performance is the Norilsk theater director Timur Fairuzov.
“The viewer can expect poetry, songs, traditional gatherings, bargan games and even fashion shows in national parks from representatives of the North. The performance is being prepared for the first time, but it promises to be exciting. In the future, if the experiment is successful, we plan to stage a real performance with the leaders of the diaspora living in Norilsk on the big stage”, the director shared his plans.
Representatives of more than 200 nationalities live in Russia, over 150 – in the Krasnoyarsk region, and about 80 – in Norilsk. In our region, after Krasnoyarsk, it is Norilsk that leads in the number of representatives of various nations.
The Norilsk art gallery and the museum are preparing their own scenarios for the Arts Night: exhibitions and exciting quests await citizens.
