#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The festival program did not leave the city residents indifferent this time either: a performance based on the play by Alexander Ostrovsky The Jokers, a poetic one-man show Konstantin Raikin. In His Own Voice and the long-awaited continuation of the Horizontal creative laboratory by Dmitry Krestyankin.
We remind you that the Theater Seasons festival is taking place in Norilsk Polar Drama Theater for the first time and on the initiative of the Nornickel company, as well as with the support of the city administration, the media portal Severny Gorod reports.
“Norilsk residents always look forward to meeting the actors and always greet them warmly. Our city residents love the theater very much, do not miss a single premiere and greet the actors with full houses. The Theater Seasons project gave our city the opportunity to meet again with its favorite artists: Igor Kostolevsky, Konstantin Raikin, and to captivate children with theatrical creativity thanks to Dmitry Krestyankin. This wonderful project will definitely continue in 2025”, said Natalya Korosteleva, deputy head of Norilsk for social policy.
Theater Seasons is a multifaceted project. It includes a touring program, educational lectures and special projects, interesting meetings and much more. The September part of Theater Seasons gave unforgettable meetings with Igor Kostolevsky, Alexandra Ursulyak and insights with Dmitry Krestyankin.
“Dmitry Krestyankin’s laboratory is a very important and necessary story that helped teenagers and their parents to better understand and hear each other”, shared her thoughts Anastasia Perfilieva, the Nornickel’s Polar Division’s deputy director for personnel and social policy.
The meeting with the Satirikon theatre actors and its director Konstantin Raikin began with a performance based on Alexander Ostrovsky’s play The Jokers, which was staged at the northern theatre.
“Ostrovsky is one of the best Russian playwrights who wrote in Russian. He can be called the best representative of not only Russian classics, but also world classics. No one did drama better than him. As for projects with young people, I have been working with young people for many years, including those who have just recently graduated from school. And I personally feel all the problems and illnesses of our time. Working with young people helps to understand them and their needs”, said Konstantin Raikin.
For Satirikon actors Denis Suhanov and Alena Raszhivina, the northern city, the Polar drama theatre and the Norilsk audience became a discovery, which, according to them, enriched them with new emotions and feelings.
“I saw Norilsk as incredible, snowy, fluffy and white, and at the same time dark because of the night. I felt the heat and warm gratitude of your audience. Thank you”, shared the people’s artist of Russia, the Satirikon theatre actor Denis Suhanov.
