#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. On Photographer’s Day, Norilsk residents and city guests are invited to the grand opening of the final exhibition of the winning works – participants in the annual TaimyrPhotoGoda (eng.: Taimyr Photo of the Year) competition captured rare and beautiful moments. Here you can see up close giant snow fences, the Northern Sea Route from an icebreaker, and the distant tundra.
This year the competition, the eighth in a row, received 57 applications from Norilsk and Taimyr authors. The most original, emotional and atmospheric works were selected. The experts were the chairman of the Taimyr photo club, Taisiya Morunova, and the ex-chairman, photographer Evgeny Shchemilin from Moscow.
The finalists will be awarded on the opening day. The exhibition will open on July 12 at the Norilsk Museum. From July 13, it will be possible to visit TaimyrPhotoGoda-2024 every day, except Mondays.
