#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The Taimyr team returned from the Youth Forum of the Indigenous Minorities of the North, Siberia and the Far East – Russian North. It took place from 11 to 15 December in the Moscow region.
More than 100 young representatives of indigenous nationalities from 24 constituent entities of the Russian Federation, as well as representatives of federal authorities, expert and scientific communities, came to the forum.
Let us recall that the purpose of the forum is to create an interethnic communication platform for youth interaction and solving urgent problems of indigenous small ethnic groups. It is annual. The organizer is the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs with the support of the Association of Indigenous Peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East.
This time, Taimyr residents took part in the discussion on the topic State policy towards indigenous minorities and in the cultural program Talents of the North, as well as presented the Son of the North to defend the Fatherland project – told about the role of indigenous ethnic groups in the Great Patriotic War. Forum experts trained participants in communication and motivation technologies, public speaking and media support of projects.
One of the important events of the forum was the defense of socially significant projects of the RosSever grant competition. As a result, Sevostyan Yar will receive support from the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs in the amount of 300 000 rubles for the implementation of the Belt of Samoyed Peoples project.
The success of the Taimyr team was also the fact that Alexey Kudryakov, Semyon Yaptune, Severin Sigunei and Sevostyan Yar were declared team leaders, and Semyon Yaptune was elected chairman of the Youth Council of the Association of Indigenous Minorities of the North, Siberia and the Far East of the Russian Federation.
