In addition, celebrations will take place in all villages of Dudinka: July 12 – in Hantayskoye Ozero, July 19 – in Volochanka and Ust-Avam, July 26 – in Potapovo.
Fishermen of Karaul will accept congratulations on July 12, 13 and 14, and the rural settlement of Hatanga’s residents – on July 13.
Festive programs will begin with traditional concerts and sporting events. Various competitions, quizzes, exhibitions of arts and crafts and tasting of national cuisine will also be held.
According to tradition, as part of a socially significant event – Fisherman’s Day – a competition Taimyr Fishermen will be held in the villages. Representatives of indigenous peoples of the North over the age of 18 who live and carry out traditional economic activities in the territory of the municipal district can take part in it. According to the regulations, the winner is the participant who caught the largest fish by weight and size.
At the holiday, a ceremony of awarding diplomas and letters of gratitude will take place, and the winners of the Taimyr Fishermen competition will be determined. The main prize is a boat motor. The remaining winners will also receive diplomas and valuable gifts.
