#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The events will start on April 8 in the village of Nosok. On April 15, the villages of Novorybnaya and Popigay will take over. A big holiday will take place on April 22 in the village of Tuhard and Syndassko – they will become the central venues in their territories.
On the Reindeer Breeder Day, ethnic camps will be open in the villages, there will be tents with national dishes, reindeer soup and hot tea. For nomads, a trade fair and performances by creative teams are organized.
The main spectacle for everyone will be the reindeer sled racing, where the best among men and women will be determined.
Prizes at the festival will be gifts from the municipality and from sponsors, which are traditionally large companies from among the subsoil users. The usual guests from Nornickel, Norilskgazprom and Norilsktransgaz have been joined in recent years by Rosneft production workers represented by RN-Vankor.
The holiday events’ guests and participants will also take part in traditional sports events, compete in national clothes. The winners and participants of competitions and competitions will be awarded with valuable gifts.
The main reward for winning the reindeer sled race will be a snowmobile. But this time the organizers are considering the proposals of the tundra workers to monetize the rest of the prizes and, if possible, replace something with a monetary equivalent.
During the days of the celebration, the nomadic population and residents of the villages will be given the opportunity to undergo a medical examination, draw up the necessary documents, and also purchase food and fuel for future use.
