#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The security department of the Taimyr Nature Reserves directorate, headed by director Vladimir Zvantsev, conducted a raid on lakes Sobachye and Glubokoye in the second half of July.
Within the security zone on lake Glubokoye, employees discovered two bundles of fishing nets with a total length of about 900 meters. The nets contained 70 live whitefish. The fish were released back into their natural habitat.
As reported by Evgeny Strenadko, leading public relations specialist of the Taimyr Nature Reserves directorate, the gear belongs to an unidentified group of people. The nets will be destroyed.
The Taimyr Nature Reserves reminds that sport and amateur fishing on the Great Norilsk lakes, in accordance with the Putoransky Nature Reserve protected zone regime, is not prohibited.
