#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. For friends and guests, the museum is preparing unusual exhibitions, excursion programs, master classes and much more interesting things. On the anniversary day, a marathon of publications about employees, unique museum collections, its activities and behind the scenes started on the museum’s official website.
After the museum’s 85-year history annals, presented by the Russian Federation culture honored worker, Taimyr honorary citizen Olga Korneyeva, an interview with the Taimyr local history chief curator Bella Chuprina appeared on the site with a description of the artifacts stored in the museum’s collection.
The celebration main event will be the festival Under the Same Sky: Total Immersion. Museums from Murmansk, Arhangelsk, Chukotka, Hakassia and Tuva are invited to participate in it.
The festival venues will host presentations, master classes, defiles and demonstrations of different peoples’ traditional costumes, from the Nenets to the Dagestanis. The organizers promised to hold traditional rituals and games, treat with national dishes, perform folk songs and dances, master classes in playing musical instruments.
On the main stage, creative performances will be presented by national groups, public cultural and national organizations. In the final, all participants and guests of the holiday will unite in the street Friendship Dance around the fire.
