#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. Last weekend, the ethnic event Taimyr Family Camp was held in Dudinka.
The festival guests were greeted by the Taimyr head Alexey Chlenov.
“2024 was declared the Year of the Family by our country president Vladimir Putin, I am glad that we have got such a friendly, strong and happy Taimyr family”, he said.
An ethnic camp with national dwellings of the indigenous peoples of Taimyr was set up right on the bank of the Yenisey. During the day, chum-keepers – hearth keepers – treated guests with northern cuisine. The festive mood was given to the northerners by artists from the city Center for Folk Art and the Center for Folk Art and Cultural Initiatives of the rural settlement of Karaul, the Taimyr administration’s press service reports.
On this day, honorary jubilarians, elders, large families’ representatives, as well as families preserving the culture, traditional and nomadic way of life got congratulations and gifts.
