#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. Fish soup, stroganina, berry mix, souvenirs for the games participants and regular visitors of the Taimyr Oikoumene – all this happened on the Taimyr House of Folk Art’s anniversary celebration day.
On April 30, from the very morning, the jubilation of tambourines and bargans, songs, joyful greetings in the indigenous northerners’ languages were heard over Dudinka.
In the traditional dwellings of the Main Taimyr Chum’s ethno camp, they heated stoves, prepared national Taimyr treats, and elegant guests gathered in the courtyard.
“The Taimyr House of Folk Art, or the Main Taimyr Chum as we call it, is one of the oldest cultural institutions in Taimyr. Over the years of its existence, it has earned authority and respect not only in Taimyr, in the Krasnoyarsk region, but also at the All-Russian and international levels.
The chum’s team is a large friendly team that owns the magic key – the cultural code to the territory of Taimyr”, said Lyubov Popova, the THFA’s ex-head, who came to congratulate her colleagues.
The highlight of the anniversary program was the gastronomic battle. In addition, for the first time, the mass action Hug the Chum was held here.
“Our chum is a place of power! And may it always be so!” the hosts and guests of the holiday spoke about the THFA. At the end of the event, there was a concert with the participation of Dudinka creative teams, representatives of five ethnic groups living on the peninsula: Nenets, Nganasans, Dolgans, Evenks and Enets.
Earlier, the THFA presented a baby book in the Dolgan language. Recently, its representatives showed a new program at the Arena sports and entertainment complex in Norilsk.
