#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. At the Stars Corporation festival exhibition, the company branches’ employees presented 86 original works on the Nornickel Family topic. The exhibition was the event’s artistic movement’s culmination.
Newcomers and regular participants reflected families, their mood, hobbies, and continuity of generations in their works. It was their relatives and friends, work teams and the Nornickel company, which became a second family for them, who inspired the contestants to be creative.
The works were performed in various techniques: dry and wet felting, crazy patchwork, beading, embroidery, fabric painting, amigurumi, string art. To create products, the contestants used paint, wood, cardboard, clay, metal and more.
“The exhibition provided an opportunity to look into the homes and families of each individual contestant. All of them are extraordinary and have their own view on a given topic, and the works presented are interesting and unusual, executed with soul, each with its own zest. I was surprised that the exhibits were very well-developed: after all, you always want to tell a lot about your loved ones”, explained Anna Pokalchuk, leading specialist in the department for working with target groups of personnel of the Nornickel’s corporate projects department.
The participants’ skill level was assessed in the following categories: Graphics, Painting, Sculpture, Photography and Decorative and Applied Arts.
The winners, prize-winners and diploma holders of the exhibition were presented with corporate souvenirs and valuable prizes from the Nornickel company.
The exhibition runs at the youth center until June 26 inclusive. It is already known that the creative theme of next year’s exhibition will be the company’s 90th anniversary.
