The program of the working visit of the Ecology, Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Committee’s first deputy chairman includes a trip to Dudinka, where, along with other issues, Vladimir Burmatov will discuss the construction of landfills for solid waste disposal.
“The topic is a sore point for all the northern regions of the country, so our committee is working on a bill on the landfills placement in hard-to-reach settlements. Geography should not become a death sentence: regions and municipalities should have effective tools to solve the problem without harming the environment and transporting waste 100 kilometers”, emphasized Vladimir Burmatov.
