#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. From July 8 to September 10, 2024, the first interregional festival Siberian Literary Triangle will be held in the Krasnoyarsk region.
In the homeland of Victor Astafiev, the Krasnoyarsk region, as well as the Irkutsk and Altai regions’ writers and poets, where the famous writers Valentin Rasputin and Vasily Shukshin were from, will meet.
“Shukshin, Astafiev, Rasputin are three literary phenomena of Siberia who were able to show Russia in the second half of the 20th century without embellishment. Their lives and works became the best mirror of the country at that time. In the Siberian Literary Triangle project, we are making an attempt to understand Siberian identity”, says Valentina Yaroshevskaya, director of the Krasnoyarsk Regional Museum of Local Lore.
The program includes creative meetings, book presentations, as well as a literary marathon, where guests of the festival – playwright Evgeny Popov, writer Mikhail Tarkovsky, poets Ekaterina Malinovskaya and Yury Yakobson and others – will non-stop introduce their works to listeners.
The second part of the festival, dedicated to exhibition projects, will begin in September and will be included in the program of the All-Russian Forum of Literary Museums.
