#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. More than 90 thousand guests – residents from almost all regions – came to the twentieth anniversary ethnofestival Siberia World in Shushenskoye, in the south of the region, this year.
The Krasnoyarsk region’s Ministry of Culture reported that this is an absolute record for all the years of the festival’s existence.
In addition to a varied concert program, master classes, lectures, film screenings, author readings and health practices were organized for guests. The highlight of the festival this year is the performance of the famous Russian singer Pelageya.
Musicians from Russia, Great Britain, Israel, Iran, Yemen, China, Cuba, Moldova, Russia, Turkey and France were the guests of honor at the event.
“Two premieres took place on the festival’s main stage: a joint concert program of experts from the ethnomusical competition and an international experimental alliance between the Israeli singer Shiran and the Krasnoyarsk philharmonic Russian orchestra. Also, for the first time, a group from China working in the folk metal genre performed at the festival in Shushenskoye”, the department said.
This year, the World’s small bowl remained in the Krasnoyarsk region. Budilin family ensemble from the regional capital got it.
Siberia World received support from UNESCO. The letter of patronage was addressed to the head of the region, Mikhail Kotyukov. The organization recognized the significance of the festival for the third time: in 2019, in 2020 and now.
We would like to remind you that the Taimyr delegation also took part in the Siberia World festival. Craftswomen from the Norilsk club Galax presented their works at the event site.
Only one laureate was chosen in each category, and in the Contemporary Decorative and Applied Arts it was Galax. The masters received a diploma and a bonus of 60 thousand rubles for the development of the studio. Norilsk has worthily declared itself and its talents.
