#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. Greenatom together with Sitronics Group will create software systems for the Northern Sea Route. The Greenatom’s press service reports that this software systems ensure the operation of digital navigation management services, navigation safety, navigational, hydrographic, hydrometeorological, environmental and ice monitoring,.
Sitronics Group software systems will be integrated with other functional programs on a single technological platform created by JSC Greenatom. It will ensure the common operation of all elements of the Unified Platform for Digital Services of the Northern Sea Route (UPDS NSR) in a single secure hardware and software environment.
“The software systems responsible for the UPDS NSR digital services’ functioning are a kind of basis for the entire project. 45 services divided into nine subsystems are provided in total. All services will be interconnected.
Moreover, the system is being created as the digital ecosystem’s basis: it contains the open access’ principles. New digital services created by any developers, developing and supplementing the basic ones, can be regularly published within the UPDS NSR.
All this will ensure a high rate of the Arctic digitalization, which is being handled by ROSATOM”, said the Digital Arctic Directorate centre’s director Vitaly Bitter.
The software will be completely Russian development.
Earlier we told about new safety measures developed for ships in polar waters, and that ROSATOM will invest more than 700 billion rubles in the Arctic projects until 2030.
