#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. Artificial intelligence (AI) can now create a detailed blueprint for an industrial facility or port facility in the Arctic in minutes.
The neural network was taught by scientists from the Intelligent Urban Planning Technologies Laboratory of the Strong AI in Industry center of the National Research University ITMO (in Soviet times – LITMO, Leningrad Institute of Fine Mechanics and Optics).
The university press service said that the scientific development result will help architects, designers and engineers. The AI-generated site plan takes into account building codes, terrain, and climate. You don’t even need programming skills to use an AI designer.
The development is based on the technology of generative design of spaces, which automatically builds a digital model of the industrial area. To make a plan, you need to highlight on the map an area of 10 to 100 hectares, indicate the points of connection to the existing transport communications and the desired indicators. Climate data is imported automatically.
Recall that the first building was built in the Arctic using a 3D printer. We previously reported that Nornickel is mastering 3D printing technologies for spare parts for complex industrial equipment.
