#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. More than 66 thousand workers are required by enterprises in the regions of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation, said the acting director – rector of the Northern Arctic Federal University (NAFU) Pavel Maryandyshev at the III All-Russian Youth Forum Arctic: The Ice has Broken.
As TASS writes, the university conducted a study of the human resources potential of the Arctic zone until 2035.
“The need for additional personnel in the Arctic region is 66 thousand people in 2024. These are jobs, engineering and blue-collar jobs. This need decreases slightly by 2035 – to 51 thousand people, but still remains. The Arctic is a strategic region that needs human capital”, Maryandyshev said.
As the study showed, the greatest shortage of personnel today is in the Murmansk region (21 thousand people), the Yamalo-Nenets District (18 thousand people), and the Arhangelsk region (14 thousand).
