#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. As part of the Year of Arctic Tourism initiative, the Russia Tour Operators’ and the Polar Travel Club will showcase the tourism potential of Russia’s Arctic regions to international travelers.
“Even for us, the Arctic is exotic. […] But for foreign tourists, it’s not just exotic; it’s three times exotic. This is something found in very few European countries, and certainly not in the unique form that we have it”, said the association’s executive director Maya Lomidze, as reported by TASS.
The Year of Arctic Tourism project is set to launch in 2024, aiming to popularize tourism in the Arctic zone. The goal is to increase the flow of tourists to the Far North.
According to Lomidze, each region involved in the project will have its own dedicated page, where experts will provide information about tours and address various challenges.
Previously, we reported that tourists from Asia are eager to experience the stunning nature of the Far North.
