#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. Russia invites interested countries to jointly develop the Northern Sea Route and guarantees reliable ice wiring, communications and supplies. Russian president Vladimir Putin stated this at the III International Forum in Beijing.
“As for the Northern Sea Route, Russia not only proposes to actively use its transit potential, but we invite interested states to directly participate in its development, we are ready to provide reliable ice wiring, communications and supplies”, Interfax Russia quotes the country’s leader.
According to Vladimir Putin, the creation of international and regional logistics trade routes objectively reflects the profound changes that are taking place in the global economy, the new role played by the the Asia-Pacific region countries, the Global South, and other centers of growth and development.
“Taking this into account, Russia, which next year will preside over the enlarged BRICS, has taken the initiative to establish within the framework of this association a permanent commission on transport logistics, which, with the participation of BRICS members, partner countries of our association, and other interested states, could deal with development issues international transport corridors in their entire complex”, said the Russian Federation president.
Previously, we told you that new satellites for the Arctic will begin to be designed in 2026, the development of the state corporation Rostech will provide continuous access to weather data on the Northern Sea Route, and in 2024 Nornickel will increase transportation along the Arctic transport corridor to 2.4 million tons.
