#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The Russian government approved the concept of preserving and developing the country’s intangible ethnocultural heritage until 2030, and Russian prime minister Mikhail Mishustin signed the corresponding order.
“In Russia, conditions will be created for the preservation, study and popularization of traditional culture: customs and rituals, traditions and holidays, folk tales and epics, songs and dances, as well as folk crafts. This is provided for by the concept approved by the government decree”, the message on the Ministers Cabinet’s website says.
The document provides for the organization of systematic work to identify, preserve and study intangible ethnocultural heritage: methodological support for cultural, scientific and educational institutions, popularization of socially important activities of custodians and bearers of intangible cultural property, selection and inclusion in the federal and regional registers of unique examples of traditional culture.
The implementation of the concept will help convey spiritual experience to new generations, preserve the identity and traditions of spiritual and moral values, and contribute to patriotic and spiritual and moral education.
Earlier, we reported that the topics of the Arctic and the indigenous peoples of the North are becoming popular.
