#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The World Ski Awards was established in 2013 to raise the standards of the ski industry. From now on, industry leaders are annually chosen by independent voting of travel industry experts and visitors to a special website.
This year, 26 resorts became winners of the World Ski Awards, one in each country: 17 in Europe, four in the two Americas, five in Asia and Oceania.
“We consider this award as a sign of quality, indicating that the resort is constantly developing and quickly responding to the challenges of the modern world”, said Sergey Hvorostyany, Rosa Hutor deputy general director for international relations and tourism. “This winter season, new ski slopes are open, guests are offered the largest ski area in Russia – 105 kilometers. New lifts have been launched – now there are 32 of them. For the first time in our country, a mountain resort offered regular helicopter tours and a transfer to the airport. The World Ski Awards reaffirms the Rosa Hutor’s leadership position in the domestic and global tourism market, which we occupy thanks to the successful implementation of strategic decisions and the substantive support of our shareholder, the Interros company”.
Earlier, Rosa Hutor instructors were the first in Russia to be certified: athletes passed exams in alpine skiing and snowboarding. Also, electric cars were launched on the territory of the resort in the summer, and the World Snow Day was celebrated there a couple of weeks ago.
