#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. About 400 works of painting, graphics, ceramics and sculpture by 140 artists and 25 events are presented at the Krasnoyarsk Time exhibition. The large-scale event dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Krasnoyarsk region has collected the best works of Siberian artists over the past five years, according to the Krasnoyarsk region’s official portal.
“True love and admiration for their region shines through in all the works: portraits, landscapes, still lifes, narrative compositions. And this, of course, is transmitted to the audience, it decorates the exhibition, it becomes alive”, said Mikhail Shishin, the Russian Academy of Arts’ regional branch’s chairman.
The exhibition is taking place in the regional capital. The exposition is based on works of art created by the Russian Artists Union’s regional branch’s members. One of the main sections will be a gallery of portraits of the Krasnoyarsk region leaders from 1934 to the present day. This exhibition is working at the Academy Gallery.
Painting and sculpture are presented in the halls of the Russian Academy of Arts, graphics and ceramics – at the Artists Union, and in the Siberian art gallery In the Center of the World you can get acquainted with the works of young artists.
From December 6, master classes on various artistic techniques, lectures on art and culture, and excursions will be held. The exhibition is open until December 22. Admission is free.
