#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The Taimyr Reserves directorate has announced the fourth stage of the competition titled Red Book of Taimyr Reserves. This time, the theme centers on aquatic red-listed birds that inhabit the Taimyr reserves, according to the organization’s press service.
The competition coincides with International Wetlands Day, celebrated on February 2.
In this stage, participants will focus on 18 species of aquatic birds. A detailed list of these species can be found in the competition’s guidelines. Entries from participants aged 6 to 18 will be accepted until February 25, inclusive. The winners will be announced on March 5.
Key requirements for the drawings include the absence of biological errors, accurate color representation, and a faithful depiction of the subject’s distinctive features, as well as the appropriate landscape of the species’ natural habitat.
Participants can use various artistic techniques on A3-sized paper. Submission of an application is mandatory, and it, along with the drawing, should be sent to the environmental organization Taimyr Reserves at zapovedushka@mail.ru. For any inquiries, participants can also reach out to this email.
