The Putorana Plateau project participates in the first all-Russian competition for the creation of tourist and recreational clusters and the development of ecotourism in Russia. Voting is open on the competition website.
The project will be presented by the government of the Krasnoyarsk region, the municipalities of Norilsk and Taimyr, the Norilsk Development Agency, the Regional Agency for Tourism, and the Joint Directorate of Taimyr Nature Reserves.
The highlight of the tourist and recreational cluster “Arctic. The Putorana Plateau” is the landscape untouched by man, the opportunity to see massive migrations of wild reindeer and the Red Book bighorn sheep, the polar day and the northern lights phenomena. This type of tourism is focused on the winter season. The main routes of the project will be snowmobile and water ones, as well as radial trails to waterfalls and to the plateau.
At the first stage, the competition committee selected TOP-30 applications, the teams of which will be able to participate in a specially developed acceleration program. They will be elected at the commission meeting on July 28. The teams will develop complex projects of tourist and recreational clusters for the development of ecotourism and present them at the second stage of the competition, where they will take into account the ideas of the region inhabitants. The winners will be selected out of 30 applications and announced on October 16.
On the website of the all-Russian competition for the creation of tourist and recreational clusters and the development of ecotourism in the Geography section, there is an opportunity to vote for any project submitted for participation. By clicking on the heart, you can vote for an unlimited number of projects, but only once for each of them. It is impossible to change your mind and remove the like.
When you open the card of each region, besides voting for the project you like, you can also see how many likes have already been given for it. As soon as the projects get a significant number of likes, a rating will appear, so it will be possible to see the top ten regions that received the most votes.
The voting results will be presented on July 28 at the competition committee meeting. The project that receives the most likes, but does not get into the top 30, will have the opportunity to become the 31st project, which will pass to the next stage of the competition and will take part on an equal basis with other finalists in the acceleration program. Voting will last 10 days and end on July 23.
Recall that the Putorana plateau is a popular place for explorers. Now for the first time in half a century, scientists are exploring Lake Kutaramakan. Specialists of Taimyr Nature Reserves want to lay several comfortable routes to the waterfalls of the plateau.
