#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. In May, the regional vocal competition Diapazon was held in Krasnoyarsk among region residents. Norilsk was represented by Purbo Tsybdenov, an employee of the Oktyabrsky mine. He once again demonstrated to the Krasnoyarsk public famous Muslim Magomayev’s composition, and again his talent and unique timbre did not leave anyone indifferent. After the full-time stage, Purbo was invited to perform at the gala concert, where our fellow countryman was awarded a 2nd degree laureate diploma in the pop vocal category and a prize statuette.
“Krasnoyarsk greeted me warmly, both with the weather and the attitude of the people. Before the concert, of course, I was worried, but my brother supported me very much, he has been living and working in the regional capital for a long time”, shared the finalist.
The Norilsk resident’s trip was assisted by the Polar Division’s corporate projects department and the Oktyabrsky mine.
“It’s nice that the members of the Stars Corporation support our initiative and even initiate participation in Russian and international competitions themselves. For them, this is an opportunity to see the organization from the inside, gain experience and acquire the necessary contacts in the musical environment. And also – to get an independent opinion about their vocal training; this feedback is necessary for creative development”, noted Anna Pokalchuk, curator of the Stars Corporation festival, leading specialist in the department for working with personnel target groups of the corporate projects office.
It is worth noting that for Purbo, it is not the first performing outside of his hometown; in March he also participated in the international competition Golden Voice of Russia, where he was also highly appreciated. According to Purbo, he was very inspired by his previous performances on Stars Corporation and Golden Voice, so he wanted to try his hand again.
“There were many competitors at the full-time stage, but only the best 17 were invited to participate in the gala concert, and it was an honor to be among them. According to the program, my number was the last before the final song of all participants, after which they immediately began to announce the winners. I’m very happy about the victory, because many of the vocalists have a musical education and have been working in this field for many years, but for me it’s a hobby”, the Norilsk resident shared his impressions.
The talented northerner noted that he is not going to stop there and is ready to conquer vocal competitions at different levels and beyond.
