#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. In the unique acoustic hall of the Norilsk College of Arts on Saturday, September 23, a piano concert dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Sergey Rachmaninoff will be held, performed by one of the best pianists in the world – Anton Yashkin.
This year, the young pianist became a finalist at the 17th International Tchaikovsky competition, one of the world’s most prestigious competitions for pianists, where out of more than 500 participants from all over the world, only a few reach the finals.

Currently, Anton Yashkin works at the Moscow Conservatory, collaborates with the Baltic National Orchestra, the Yaroslavl Symphony Orchestra and the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra. For Norilsk residents he will play the most famous works of the great Russian composer, pianist Sergey Rahmaninov.
The organizers say that such a concert has never happened in Norilsk before.
