#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. According to the results of the open call, 95 applications were received for the PolArt Residence competition. Technical verification and the work of the expert council are ahead.
The names of the winners – future polar residents – will be announced on February 5.
As a reminder, applications for 2025 for the PolArt Residence from Russian artists and curators, as in previous years, were accepted on a competitive basis once a year and for the entire season. A special support program is in place for local artists. During the project implementation, residents are provided with organizational support, the cost of air travel within Russia to Norilsk and back is reimbursed, an equipped studio-workshop is provided free of charge, a stipend is paid, and the costs of materials are compensated.
We would also like to add that the ninth annual PolArt Residence competition is held by the museum and exhibition complex Norilsk Museum as part of a project that is being implemented with the support of the endowment fund Our Norilsk.
