August 01, 2022

A unique complex for polar predators is being built in Krasnoyarsk.

#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. In the Krasnoyarsk flora and fauna park Royev Roochey, a unique residential complex for Red Book polar bears is being built. Felix the bear has already moved into the first of three enclosures: now the clubfoot dwelling has a pool with underwater glazing, which is stylized as an Arctic landscape.

Finishing work is being completed in the other two enclosures. For the complex launch, it will be necessary to install a water treatment system.

In addition, an observation deck with a seating area is being built around the enclosures so that park guests can watch the bears.

“The new complex for polar bears is a unique project, there is nothing like it not only in Russia, but also in Europe. In addition to modern enclosures, it has ancestral lairs, premises necessary for servicing this complex. Specialists are trying to do everything for our flora and fauna park to continue the mission of preserving the polar bear population in the world”, the park’s press service noted.

The project to create a complex for polar bears was supported by the Rosneft company.

Earlier, we told in detail about the rescue of a polar bear, in whose mouth a tin was stuck.
