The Nornickel assists in saving the Arctic predator.

#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The Nornickel provided a helicopter for Moscow specialists who flew in to rescue a polar bear with a tin can stuck in its mouth. The morning flight was canceled due to bad weather in the Dikson village.

“This morning the Moscow Zoo’s chief veterinarian arrived in Norilsk. He brought all the necessary tools and medicines. The Nornickel prepared a helicopter for the flight to Dikson, and a special cage was made at the Mechanical plant for transporting the animal”, wrote the Rosprirodnadzor’s head Svetlana Radionova in her Telegram channel.

According to her, three bags of fish were prepared for the Arctic predator:

“It will help the bear to regain its strength until it can hunt. First, the bear will be immobilized with the help of means that are not harmful to health. It will be given all the necessary assistance and transported 60-100 kilometers from the village to its natural habitat”.

According to the latest information, the specialists were able to fly to Dikson today.

Let us remind that yesterday a polar bear with a can of condensed milk stuck in its mouth came to the Dixon village inhabitants for help.
