#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. For such excursions, you need to lay a large budget and time – at least two days. However, now the lake has become closer: specialists of the Taimyr Explorers Club have developed a one-day water-walking excursion.
“Lake Lama is located 120 kilometers from Norilsk, but not all residents have seen because it takes several days to travel to the lake, and the infrastructure is not very developed. We’ve decided that Norilsk residents should be given the opportunity to see this unique lake, and have developed a 12-hour route”, said Larisa Stryuchkova, the TEC PR director.
The journey from the pier on the Norilskaya river to lake Lama takes about three hours.
Tourists are accompanied by professional guides who talk about the formation of the Putorana plateau, the diversity of flora and fauna of the Arctic.
Travelers will visit three sites: a rest house on the Kamenny peninsula, a guest chum installed in the Zhar.Ptitsa estate and one of the most beautiful waterfalls available on the Neralah river.
“The excursion is possible thanks to the appearance of hovercraft in our country, which go faster than traditional boats. In general, tourists will have a busy day filled with beautiful views, events, as well as information from the guides”, shared Larisa Stryuchkova.
As a reminder, from 13 to 19 July, Lama lake will host the X-WATERS Plateau Putorana Open Water Swimming World Championship for the first time.
