The northern delivery in the Krasnoyarsk territory is going on according to the schedule. During the summer, the riverboats will bring 132 thousand tons of coal and 90 thousand tons of oil and lubricants for the upcoming heating season to the 162 settlements of the Yenisei, Motygino, North-Yenisei, Turukhansk, Taimyr (Dolgano-Nenetsky) and Evenkiya regions. 5.2 billion rubles were allocated from the regional budget for this.
As the deputy chairman of the government Anatoly Tsykalov said at the meeting of the regional government and the operational headquarters for preventing the spread of coronavirus infection, fuel and energy resources — coal, oil and lubricants — are delivered mainly through the northern delivery. The delivery is carried out annually in two stages by different transport. The main deliveries are carried out during navigation from May to October along the Yenisei and its tributaries, as well as the Northern Sea Route. The second stage runs from December to March by small transport companies.
Despite the warm and snowless winter, the necessary amount of fuel was delivered. 31 thousand tons of oil and lubricants were brought to the north of the region, which is 97% of the plan. So, the North Yenisey region has already been fully provided with fuel. In other municipalities, the bulk of the fuel and energy resources will be delivered in the summer. At the same time, due to the low water level in the Norilo-Pyasinsky water system, it is planned to bring coal into the Taimyr village of Ust-Avam by small-tonnage barges.
Anatoly Tsykalov noted that due to the pandemic, carriers are taking measures to counteract the spread of infection: “Regulations for crews have been developed and introduced, crew members are equipped with personal protective equipment, and rapid testing for the presence of coronavirus infection is implemented before the ships leave. Minimized contacts with the local population during the unloading of ships are also important. All issues of the northern delivery are under the operational headquarters’ control.”
The navigation on the Yenisei began earlier than usual because of the warm winter. The first ships of the Yenisei Shipping Company went to the Podkamennaya Tunguska River in early May. Judging by the forecasts, the Dudinsky Sea Port will begin to meet the first summer barges early: the ice drift is approaching rapidly.
