#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. In Moscow, the winners and prize-winners of the III National competition Arena, organized by the Olympic and Paralympic committees of Russia and the Russian Association of Sports Facilities with the support of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation, were awarded.
Sports facilities from the Russian Federation, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Uzbekistan took part in the competition.
The Aika sports hall, built by Nornickel, won a special prize – The Best Sports Organization for the Whole Family. More than 60 sports facilities from different countries took part in the competition.
Every year, more than 400 events of various types are held at Aika, including family sporting events.
Nornickel’s sustainable development program pays special attention to the development of physical culture and sports, and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle among employees and residents of the regions where it operates.
Let us remind you that Russian sports stars perform and conduct classes for children at Aika. The Aika wall of fame has been replenished with autographs from world-class basketball players. We also reported that This Is Taimyr’s Russian-speaking version – the Severny Gorod news portal – is among the eight best regional media in the country.
