#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The Bobrovy (Beaver) Log funpark, the first ski resort in Russia, created 16 years ago within the Krasnoyarsk city limits thanks to a public-private partnership between Nornickel, the Krasnoyarsk city administration and the regional government, was recognized as the best at the annual Ski Business Awards.
The solemn presentation of the award took place on November 1 in Sochi as part of the Mountains.Tourism.Business international forum.
“This is a huge merit of each team member. I congratulate the Bobrovy Log staff, partners and all guests on receiving the industry award – Best City Ski Resort. We are constantly working to delight our guests with new, quality services and exciting events”, said Konstantin Nesterov, the fanpark head.
The Ski Awards winners are determined by an independent vote of travel business experts and visitors to worldskiawards.com. This process begins in August and continues until November. The Ski Awards have been held annually since 2013.
Recall that the Bobrovy Log was opened on December 3, 2006. In 2003-2008, Nornickel invested more than 2.515 billion rubles in the resort construction and development.
Now Bobrovy Log is one of the largest all-season world-class sports and recreation parks in Russia for the whole family. Accommodates 15 thousand visitors.
During the ski season, which lasts six months, 15 slopes of different difficulty levels with a total length of more than ten kilometers operate on the resort territory. Ten tracks have been certified for compliance with world standards.
The complex has a rental of equipment from leading world brands, instructors, an ice rink, you can ride buns, and there is a children’s club. Every year on the Bobrovy Log slopes the competitions in skiing sports of the regional and federal levels are held.
In summer and in the off-season, the fun park is a territory for active recreation and entertainment: sightseeing walks on a cable-chair lift, unique extreme attractions, a beach and an open-air pool with warm water, playgrounds, picnic gazebos, cafes, bars, premium-class restaurant, SPA-complex, downhill mountain biking trails, health walking.
This summer, Bobrovy Log organized the infrastructure facilities tours for the Vladimir Potanin Foundation scholarship holders. Nornickel teams regularly hold snowboarding and alpine skiing competitions in the funpark. Also, for the second year in a row, an eco-summit organized by Nornickel is being held in Bobrovy Log.
