In addition, the equipment phased upgrade at the Severny mine continues. This year, the supply of basic mining equipment at the sum of 566 million rubles is expected.
The company will allocate another 250 million for the purchase of 16 units of wheeled and specialized equipment for the improvement of production sites.
In 2022, the costs of the Kola MMC to address environmental issues will increase. A project for the disposal of barrels from fuel and lubricants has already been launched. They are waiting for the delivery of a mobile laboratory for air monitoring.
Nornickel also made a strategic decision to re-equip and expand the fleet of shunting diesel locomotives at the Kola MMC. In total, by 2025, 15 diesel locomotives will be purchased with a total cost of 1.17 billion rubles.
