The Corporate Projects Department of the Nornickel Polar Division has published a 43-page collection of drawings, essays and poems by the participants of the Profnavigator Club project. Everyone who opens the colorful glossy album has the opportunity to look at the Nornickel company and the city of Norilsk through the eyes of children.
The works’ authors are schoolchildren, participants of the Nornickel through the Eyes of Children creative project dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the company, and the Age of Discovery children’s drawing competition, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Norilsk deposit discovery.

By implementing such ideas, Nornickel introduces its values and priorities to the younger generation. The company and the people who work in it are the main topic of children’s work.
The Tale about Nornickel opens the collection. It is about how the heroes conquered the mountain, where the dragon guarded the valuable metal – nickel. The tale was written by 13-year-old Victoria Glushchenko, a student of the secondary school №21.
The book also contains lyric poems about Norilsk and its people – Favorite City, Where Copper is Tempered, Ballad of a Miner. Most of the works presented in the album were dedicated to the stories of their families, the company’s labor dynasties, to people who made a significant contribution to the development of our territory. At the same time, the young authors did not bypass serious, non-festive themes in their stories.
“In every line, in every stroke, one can feel pride in the hard but glorious labor path of those who built the mines and factories on the permafrost, unique production technology and our amazing polar city”, reads the preface to the brochure.
The collections will be handed over to Norilsk schools, as well as to all authors whose works are included in the brochure.
