#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. St. Petersburg hosted the International Festival for the Development of Domestic Tourism I LOVE RUSSIA, which was attended by representatives of the Tourism Development Center and the VEB Norilsk 360 club.
The trip took place thanks to the Norilsk 360 Virtual Tour Bureau project, which won the competition for social projects of the World of New Opportunities the Nornickel company’s charity program. The festival guests learned about the Norilsk tourism potential and its experience in the development of domestic tourism.
The international festival I LOVE RUSSIA annually gathers more than 1600 people from more than 60 regions of the country. Participants share their successes in the field of tourism, learn news, attend trainings, and improve their professional level.
This time, the guests of the event were shown a presentation of VR excursions around Norilsk at the International scientific and practical conference Tourism is a Strategic Vector for the Development of the Region’s Economy. High school students from Norilsk school №28, members of the VEB Norilsk 360 club, were tour operators with a presentation of excursions.
They shared their experience in the development of domestic tourism in our city by attracting social investment to the industry.
The Norilsk administration presented the organizers and more than 180 young participants of the I LOVE RUSSIA-2021 festival with memorable gifts purchased with the support of the project partner, the Norilsk Development Agency. These are branded Boxglass glasses with an individual design in the style of the Arctic tourist cluster with a QR code. They allow you to watch VR tours of Norilsk on the YouTube channel of the Tourism Development Center. The video content posted there has already scored more than ten thousand views and received positive reviews.
Earlier we reported that Forbs included Nornickel’s tourism projects in the list of the most ambitious in the world.
