#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. In honor of the 70th Norilsk anniversary, citizens are invited to take part in the Hug the City! project and set a Russian record in the category of the most massive national unity by creating a living chain 3800 meters long.
The event will take place on Saturday, July 15, on Leninsky Prospekt. More than 6 000 people of all ages will take part, the mayor’s office said.
A delegation from the Russian Book of Records will come to Norilsk to register the record. Any resident or guest of Norilsk can become a member of the record – just come in white clothes and declare your participation.
As a reminder, in honor of the 70th anniversary of Norilsk, a race with Nornickel will be held at the Zapolyarnik stadium, singers Shaman, Elina Pan and Garik Sukachev will congratulate Norilsk residents on Metallurgist Day.
