#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The Norilsk mayor’s office told where Epiphany bathing will be organized this year. This will be the Ol-Gul ski base with an adjacent reservoir.
“Last summer, specialists carefully inspected it; they identified places suitable for these purposes, as well as possible activities of the local winter swimmers’ club in the future”, the mayor’s office representative said.
Epiphany bathing in Norilsk will be organized on January 18–19. An ice hole with comfortable handrails and a safe descent will be built in the selected area, and police, rescuers, doctors and volunteers will be on duty. The religious people will be able to change clothes, warm up and wait for transport at warm heating points.
