The Norilsk Development Agency, which has been organizing this event for several years, says that in six months you can not only improve your skills, but also master cold swimming from scratch in order to swim your first distance along the polar Yenisey.
The first set of training will be held on January 25 by the Russian record holder in winter swimming Natalia Vasilyeva, who is also a master of sports in modern pentathlon, winner and prize winner of open water competitions and cold swims. Beginner athletes will be able to work on their stroke technique with a coach, and then practice in the pool.
The qualifying round for the Taimyr team will take place in May. Up to 30 northerners will be able to join the team, for them participation in X-WATERS Yenisey will be free.
