#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The northern lights season continues in Norilsk. Local residents share pictures of the ‘solar wind’ on social networks and say that auroras are observed very often in Taimyr this fall.
Famous Norilsk photographer Mikhail Podolyak also shared photographs of a successful hunt. The master says that he stayed at the location for almost five hours, spent the sunset, watched the stars and caught an unusual glow in the frame.
“The filming took place on the night of September 9. No one knows exactly when the aurora will begin, but an approximate estimate can be made based on previous observations. As I expected, it started around half past one in the morning. The sky “bloomed” with pleasant colors. And before that, I was filming the glow of the sunset against the backdrop of the blue sky, meeting the stars and drinking tea”, Mikhail told the This Is Taimyr.
Earlier, Mikhail Podolyak photographed beautiful pillars of light, showed multi-colored glaciers on the Ambarnaya river and the flowering of Taimyr meadows and Daurian larch.
