#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. Fascinated by the photography art, Mikhail Podolyak from time to time gives his subscribers and friends simple and amazing evidence that Taimyr is one of the most beautiful places on the planet.
From his landscape photographs, it is often difficult to imagine that the area where such views were filmed is almost a continuous industrial zone.
Mikhail tries to see the beauty of the moment in everything. At the same time, of course, he looks for the most artistic places and angles: waterfalls, river bends, delicate flowering of pink larch buds. In his photo arsenal there is even a “light forest” that looks like a space object.
This time, the author’s Norilsk tundra is very reminiscent of alpine meadows: spaciousness, diversity of colors, a combination of colors and textures. It’s hot at the 69th parallel nowadays, and nature also looks and behaves in a special way.
“The other day I visited a very beautiful snow-white place of our vast tundra with musical accompaniment of mosquitoes in the setting sun”, Mikhail wrote on his page on the social network.
First of all, he considered it necessary to show us cotton grass, a perennial herbaceous plant.
“It is widely distributed in the northern hemisphere, in regions with a temperate and cold climate, found in both Eurasia and North America. This is a valuable forage plant for reindeer, wild animals and waterfowl, a peat former”, said the photographer.
“What a beauty!” – people note in the comments under the blooming “alpine” series. “The cotton grass reminds me of little men running against the wind. Amazing photo!” – wrote his colleague, photographer Sergei Dokukin, who is also not indifferent to northern nature in all its manifestations. Other photos of Mikhail show the famous fields with Ivan-tea grass, another typical representative of the Taimyr flora.
Earlier, Norilsk inhabitants shot a beautiful solar halo and lenticular clouds.
