#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The Norilsk Museum, in partnership with the Victory Museum, invites residents to commemorate the significant anniversary of Leningrad’s complete liberation from the Nazi blockade by watching the film Leningrad Hero City.
The screening will take place on January 30 at the museum’s main building, located at Lenin street, 14. Attendees are welcome to come alone or as part of organized groups.
This documentary was produced as part of an exhibition project that took place early last year at the Manezh central exhibition hall. It immerses viewers in one of the most tragic yet heroic chapters of our history, featuring archival footage, photographs, documents, artistic installations, and authentic artifacts, along with the dramatic narrative and scenography of the exhibition. The film showcases the voices of talented actors who brought the characters to life, including Nina Usatova, Sergey Mardar, Evgeniya Fadeyeva, Yaroslav Grebelny, and Ivan Zhukov (with the voice of Tikhon Zhiznevsky).
This film-exhibition not only recounts the suffering and resilience of the people in Leningrad but also serves as a poignant reminder of the life value and the human spirit strength. The Norilsk Museum warmly invites everyone to pay tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for the freedom and salvation of their city.
