#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The Norilsk Museum announces the main museum event of the spring – the Night of Museums. It will take place on Saturday, May 20, at the Art Gallery.
“This year, we will catch happiness in the museum format at the actions – on the Night of Museums we will collect places and moments of Norilsk happiness into one art collection. The whole Norilsk is one big art puzzle, like a city of eternally young energy, the city of our love, the future that we are building ourselves, the city with which we have connected our lives”, the Norilsk Museum director Natalya Fedyanina told about the concept.
The action is based on the curatorial project of Ksenia Bulak from Krasnoyarsk Wedding Attractions and/or Objects for the Artist. This study is about how Norilsk reality is reflected in the art and feelings of citizens in their search for beauty, how these routes intersect on the city map.
The Norilsk Museum invites citizens to add their happy moments to the events of the museum action.
“A wedding, a housewarming party, the first sun or the first word of a child – what is happiness for you? What is it? And is it true that the expectation of happiness is sometimes greater than happiness itself? Both people and cities definitely need to dream about the future too. Pictures of our personal happiness will form a kind endless story of the city of great changes, to the anniversary of which the Norilsk Museum dedicates its most popular museum format”, the announcement says.
