#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The Technological Railway Transport enterprise (TRTE) of Norilsk Nickel Polar Division has updated its fleet of track equipment – it arrived along with consumables from leading Russian machine-building plants in Tihoretsk, Tula and Kaluga.
Today, the enterprise has 30 railway vehicles, which ensure the stable and uninterrupted the entire diesel locomotive fleet operation in order to deliver technological materials and cargoes of the company in a timely and accident-free manner.
One of the latest acquisitions of TRTE is the improved railcars 1ADM-1.6 and ADMsh, complete with interchangeable working equipment: a drilling rig and a trencher.
Thanks to its eight-meter swing-out platform and a telescopic crane with two cradles, it can carry out any construction, installation and repair work. The railcar can be controlled both from the driver’s cab and remotely using control panel.
Reliable and efficient – this is how the Norilsk railway workers speak about new track repair vehicles. Thanks to this transport, it is possible not only to raise and straighten a track section, but also to power almost any electric track tool. In total, the enterprise received three units of such special equipment.
Recently TRTE has also purchased a specially equipped wagon for carrying out various tests in the field and a powerful ram-type mouldboard plow. Thanks to it, you can clear the path of sand, snow and ice of any thickness. The maximum blade width is 14 meters, and the reinforced earth wings design allows to work with hard ground.
Earlier, Norilsk railway workers got a new escort car, Norilsk Nickel specialists upgraded dump cars to work in the North conditions, and Nornickel continues to receive reliable domestic diesel locomotives.
