#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. In the first year, a block module of the future air terminal was manufactured, the next year the structure was delivered to the village, and in 2021 the final stage of work began – the construction of the terminal. The result is a modern two-story building with an area of over 1000 square meters.
The building houses the premises for passengers and services that ensure the operation of the airport. Funding amounted to 55 million rubles allocated from the federal budget.
Hatanga is one of the northernmost federal airports in the country. It is capable of receiving almost all types of aircraft. The first airport terminal, which fell into disrepair, was built there in 1954. The construction of the new modular building became possible after the Hatanga airport became part of the Krasnoyarsk Airports enterprise two years ago.
As the Minister of Transport of the Krasnoyarsk region Konstantin Dimitrov noted, the project was carried out at the highest level, the airport will become a new milestone in the history of Hatanga:
“The opening of the new terminal is a long-awaited event for the residents of Taimyr. In the period from September to June, temperatures are below zero on the peninsula. Navigation in Hatanga lasts only a month, from the end of August to September, so the only year-round option to get to Hatanga is by air”.
Let us remind you that initially it was planned to finish the work by the celebration of the 395th anniversary of the rural settlement. The anniversary celebrations in Hatanga took place a month ago, from 9 to 11 September.
