#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The all-Russian event Museum Night in Norilsk will be held under the sign of city renovation and dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the Norilsk Museum. The theme of the event – Eternally New City – reveals the basic cultural code of Norilsk, in which the inhabitants are constantly changing.
“They leave here, they come here – in the North it was like that and it will be like that. New people sometimes reinvent the wheel – at the next stage they look for solutions that their predecessors have already found more than once. The action is based on the launch of a museum exhibition of the same name on the history of Norilsk. This will be a multi-part ‘story of stories’ that will begin on Museum Night, but will never end. The mythical museum’s eternally new city, like the real Norilsk, will always be updated, continue to develop with enthusiasm and new energy, but also with knowledge of the best practices from the city’s past”, the museum said.
At the Museum Night on May 18 from 19:00 to 23:00, the Norilsk Museum will turn into a total construction site, where each participant can become a builder of a new life.
Guests will enjoy the family-team quest Construction Squad – this is a museum route about safety protocol and other features of life in a city under construction. The winners of the quest will be awarded the title Discoverers of the Eternally New City.
On Museum Night at the concert Norilsk Sounds, old songs about Norilsk will be performed in a new way.
The program also includes:
The Museum is Calling! – the latest history of the Norilsk Museum in posters;
