#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The construction of mines cannot be imagined without the mechanization of production processes. In the early 1990s, all underground self-propelled diesel equipment was distributed to separate areas that are part of the mine building departments of the trust. To increase the efficiency of work, on January 26, 1991, all sections of self-propelled equipment were united into a specialized mine-building department for the mechanization of mining operations (SMBD MMO). The fleet of equipment in the new management was about 40 units, and there were just over 250 employees.
At the beginning of 2002, by combining the SMBD MMO and the specialized mine-building electrical installation department, a specialized mine-building department for mechanization and mechanical and electrical mining operations appeared. This is how the enterprise, unique in its activity, was born, the purpose of which was to provide mining technology and the arrangement of mine workings with technological communications, automated systems and complexes.
For 12 years of vigorous activity, the joint management has completed all the tasks set. But due to the growth in the volume of work and the increase in the number of employees, from February 1, 2014, it was decided to divide the management into two separate divisions: SMBD MMO and SMCID (specialized mine construction installation department). Thus, the SMBD MMO was responsible for the provision of the mining and construction work of the trust with self-propelled equipment, and all installation, electrical, specialized work was transferred to the newly created management – SMCID.
Nowadays, the SMBD MMO employs almost 900 people, and the fleet of equipment includes 163 units of self-propelled equipment and nine drilling rigs of the Robbins type.
