#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. Last year, more than 1.1 million travelers visited the Arctic, and 97 percent of them rated the experience as positively as possible – this is the highest level of satisfaction among Russians with tours within the country. The head of the Eastern Development Ministry Alexey Chekunkov announced this in the Federation Council.
Currently, 130 new projects in the field of Arctic tourism are being created with government support.
The department head added that the ministry’s task is to ensure Russia’s leadership in Arctic science and technologies for the North development.
Let us remind you that the self-propelled ice platform North Pole began operating in 2022 – this project has no analogues in the world.
World-class scientific and educational centers have been created in Arhangelsk and Yakutsk. Currently, more than 300 organizations and universities in the country are implementing their projects in the Arctic.
Earlier we wrote that the river tour to Dudinka topped the rating in terms of cost. Travel to the North Pole via Taimyr can start as early as this year.
