#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. In the flora and fauna park Royev Rouchey, the region residents can not only see, for example, the polar bear Marfa and the female musk ox Alana, rescued from the Taimyr tundra, but also watch footage from the Russian Geographical Society’s Krasnoyarsk regional branch’s expedition the first stage of which took place last summer on the peninsula.
The photos are located on two sites. On the first one, you can see how specialists study cultural heritage sites associated with the Arctic development history.
“At the location of the Siberia Archaeological Research organization, which recreates the winter hut of Russian polar sailors of the 17th century using ancient technologies, you can see how it was made with an axe and without a single nail”, said Olga Ermakova, a specialist in museum and exhibition work of the Russian Geographical Society’s Krasnoyarsk regional branch.
The RGS Krasnoyarsk Regional Branch’s exhibition Taimyr Transformation will be open in the Royev Rouchey flora and fauna park until the end of October.
Earlier, the Norilsk Museum invited everyone to an exhibition of xylography. This Is Taimyr also wrote about the GEOpark opening in Talnah.
