#ARCTIC. #SIBERIA. THIS IS TAIMYR. The International exhibition and forum Russia has completed its work in Moscow; over eight months it has been visited by more than 18 million people. 800 events, 22 bright flash mobs, 19 festivals and other events took place. The stand of the Krasnoyarsk region, the second largest area, was recognized as one of the best – the head of the region, Mikhail Kotyukov, was awarded a commemorative statuette for his contribution to the creation of the unique exposition. Our region’s stand was visited by president Vladimir Putin in December 2023.
“The state’s head got acquainted with the region’s history, achievements in industry, tourism, plans for the development of the Krasnoyarsk region’s infrastructure on the eve of the regional capital’s 400th anniversary”, the regional government said.
The exposition of the region got guests acquainted with the nature, infrastructure, minerals, energy resources and people of Krasnoyarsk.
At the stand they presented a prototype of the Krasnoyarsk hydroelectric power station, simulators with which you can visit iconic places in the region, and a model with the regional capital’s largest infrastructure projects.
“The main element of the stand is the Yenisey river, which is presented in the form of a five-meter sculpture generated by artificial intelligence. The sculpture ‘comes to life’ and tells visitors about the Krasnoyarsk region”, the regional government said.
On average, one and a half million people visited our region’s exhibition every month.
“Following the example of the capital, we are planning to create such a center in Krasnoyarsk, where the region’s exposition could be located”, noted the region’s governor, Mikhail Kotyukov.
Let us remind you that the Taimyr folklore groups Heiro and Togokon performed at the exhibition-forum. We also wrote that This Is Taimyr’s Russian-speaking version – the news portal Severny Gorod – is among the eight best regional media in the country.
